Repolishing

Clement Pianos offer a piano case finishing service. Whether a small scratch or a complete repolish. We also offer veneer repairing / replacing, colour matching, a choice of sheens etc.

Full repolishing.

 When the piano arrives in our polishing shop, all the parts are removed then each component has the existing polish removed until it is back to the original veneer. Once the entire case has been stripped (by hand) any repairs that are needed are carried out. Once the repairs are complete every part of the case is sanded with several different grades of sanding paper to give a smooth, flat surface on which to polish. At this stage, we invite the customer to visit us to see the piano and discuss the colour / shade required and the type of finish (matt, semi matt, satin, gloss or high gloss). The piano is then polished to the customers exact requirements. Once the polishing is finished, all the brass / metal parts of the case are cleaned and burnished, case felts are replaced and then the whole case is reassembled. On completion we again invite the customer to come and view the finished product before delivering the piano back to them.
