Secondhand and reconditioned pianos are terms that are frequently misunderstood.  Here is a brief outline of the differences between these two types of instruments.

Secondhand pianos.

This type of piano (from Clement Pianos) is an instrument which is usually less than thirty years old. A piano of this age, if privately owned, should still be in very good condition.  When we take a piano of this type in to stock, it undergoes a thorough service to ensure that each instrument performs to its optimum.  All our secondhand pianos carry a full five year guarantee, so that any piano bought from Clement Pianos can be purchased with complete confidence. The secondhand pianos usually start from around £1000.00.  Our stock of secondhand instruments changes very regularly. Should you see an instrument on the web site in which you are interested, please phone us to make sure it is still available before coming to the showrooms for a viewing. While every effort is made to keep the web site up-to-date, we cannot guarantee that an instrument shown for sale has not already been sold.

Reconditioned Pianos.

These pianos are very different from secondhand pianos. Pianos that have been reconditioned by Clement Pianos have been completely stripped and re-built. As reconditioning is such an expensive process (we only use best quality parts)  instruments must be of the highest quality to make the process cost effective.  Consequently most of our reconditioned pianos are makes such as Blüthner, Steinway, Bechstein etc. with prices usually starting from around £6000.00 for an upright piano and £12000.00 for a grand piano.
